Although its size is very small, its almost 9 kilometers long is home to the largest refuge of seabirds and is the beginning of the second longest reef in the world.

In addition, in summer it is possible to see various species of turtles spawning and during the winter more than 10,000 species of birds take refuge in their mangroves, becoming a visual paradise for visitors.

Reaching Contoy Island is only possible on authorized boats, which leave from Puerto Juarez near Cancun and from Isla Mujeres. In them, only 200 people travel daily and the tours leave at 9 in the morning, returning at 5 in the afternoon.

During the trip to Isla Contoy, you can snorkel in its turquoise waters to see corals, goldfish and even giant starfish. 

Also, you will have the opportunity to connect with nature with the breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea that you get on the tour, and watching impressive birds such as frigates, pelicans, swallows and seagulls.
