Only 5 kilometers from Chichen Itza is this open-air cenote that, in ancient times was used, like almost everyone, with sacred ends With 60 meters in diameter and 15 meter cut walls, it is connected to the pyramid of Kukulcán through a path of 300 meters. 

Its proximity made it important for the Mayan inhabitants of the area, who used the cenote sacred to throw virgins in sacrifice to please the rain god. In its background have been found remains of women young people dressed in elaborate clothing.
